Key Staff

The Director
Dr. Michael Andregg, 55, has directed Ground Zero Minnesota since its inception in April 1982. During that time they have produced 56 educational videos, three of which were the most requested ever in the seven-county Twin Cities metropolitan area, one national award winning book, and many other written and electronic teaching aids. They also sponsored several thousand public education programs in schools, churches and civic groups (more than 1,000 in 1984 alone). They have arranged 17 conferences, hosted 27 candidate forums involving sitting congressmen and senators with their opponents, and were involved in international arts productions like Peace Child and the "Hague Appeal for Peace" conference of May 1999. Our video on that is one of our best TV productions. Better TV productions can be downloaded from this site (for example: Hague Appeal for Peace).

Dr. Andregg has taught adjunct at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul for 17 years and at the University of Minnesota for 27, on "The Causes of War," "Sustainability," "Ecology, Technology and Society," "Genetics and Human Society," "Ethical Dilemmas of War and Peace," and related topics. He has a Ph.D. in genetics from the University of California at Davis, 1977, but has taught in departments as diverse as mechanical engineering, biology, physics, and theology. He is active many academic groups, like the ISCSC (International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations, PJSA (Peace and Justice Studies Association), IIEA (International Intelligence Ethics Association), and the ACFR (American Committees on Foreign Policy). He has been on too many boards to list here.
